Hi! I started this blog to share my many passions. I love crafts and I try to dabble in a little bit of everything. Right now I am really into making quilts! I spend way too much time looking at other people's quilt blogs and dreaming up pattern ideas. I also love music and performing, growing my own food and practicing old-fashioned and traditional homemaking skills.

I try to embody a lifestyle of sustainability and integrity, which is always a challenge in today's world of waste, corruption, and excess. I often blog about my garden and fruit trees, dairy goats, and chickens. I am a stickler for reusing and recycling and I love re-purposing beautiful fabrics into quilts. I ride my bike and have a lot of fun practicing something akin to yoga.
I live on a rural island off the Sunshine Coast of Western Canada. Our island community is entirely off-the-grid and each household supplies its own water, heat, and electricity - or lives without it. There is one small store, a pub, a Post Office, and a Free Store. The ferry to and from our island is passenger only - no vehicles. Some of my hobbies include chopping wood and carrying water.
We are basically an island of radicals and artists and we love it way out here.
Greetings and blessings from my little place in the world.
